Default When Does Child Support End in Connecticut

My question involves child support in the State of: CT I hear different things from different people. When does child support end? Is it when my son turns 18 or graduates high school? There is nothing in the divorce papers saying when it ends. Thanks for you help!

If your child remains unmarried, living with the custodial parent, and enrolled full-time in high school, Connecticut will ordinarily continue child support until the child graduates or reaches the age of 19, whichever occurs first. You may petition to end support based upon your child's reaching the age of majority, and I expect your wife will argue that as he remains in high school and in her home, support should continue through graduation or his 19th birthday.

Legally I'm the custodial parent, he is living with her full time to attend high school and doesn't want to come back with me. I pay her so much per week in an agreement we made together.

Again, state law says until age 19 or graduation, whichever comes first. What the two of you decide between yourselves has nothing to do with the law.
