I Can Not Talk to My Kids when Father Has Them

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Connecticut
My ex husband calls my kids three to four times a day when there in my custody. I get sent to voice mail when I try to call them when in his custody. The kids tell me there not allowed to talk to me when there with him. What steps can I take to have contact with my kids when there with there father?

Go back to court and request enforceable phone contact time.

But honestly? Is it really necessary for both of you to need to contact the kids during the other parent's parenting time?

I only need to contact them for school issues. They like to contact me. It just bothers me when they come home and tell me daddy wouldn't let me call you.

You need a phone contact schedule. My step son's Mom is allowed to call 2 days a week at certain times, although we encourage him to call her once or twice. Daily contact is unreasonable, it would interfer with the other parents time. I don't know what your schedule is like but if he only getting weekends or such I see no reason in you needing to contact them at all during his time unless of an emergency.
