Default Backwards Situation - Trying NOT to establish paternity - FL
Any advice would be appreciated. I am 6 months pregnant - single by choice. I found a willing sperm donor because I really wanted a baby before turning 30. I have no intentions of listing the biological father on my baby's birth certificate - or asking him for any kind of support whatsoever. I just feel grateful to him for giving me a baby! And as we hardly knew each other, we have not had any contact since the "donation." Everything was fine until an ex-boyfriend saw my pregnant belly in public and now assumes that I am carrying his child - which, because this man is extremely unstable and bi-polar, actually makes him extremely happy. Now he constantly leaves messages that he wants to see me and his baby and that he "knows" its his. I'm sure he'll gladly foot the bill of getting a paternity test - but it distresses me that he's made this assumption and is getting involved in my life in this way. I don't want him to have anything to do with me or my baby especially - how can I prevent him from filing any kind of frivilous lawsuit for paternity??? I realize he's so mentally ill that this all may be his way of getting to see me - even if its in a court room. Or he may be hoping to get me to name my donor. Whatever his intentions, I think he honestly believes its his child and he will do whatever he can to get to my baby. How can he be stopped????

If you are sure that the baby is not his, let him take the paternity test. When it proves that it is not his kid, maybe he will leave you alone.

It seems as though you think that there is a possibility that the kid may be his since you are so reluctant to take the test and prove that it is not.
