Default Is Paternity Testing in Texas Done Thoroughly
Im in texas
If I ask for a court order for an alleged father to take a paternity test how will I know that he himself goes and takes the test (and not have 1 of his buddys take it)? Is it on trust

Will they ask my child, him, and me to go into the a dna lab at the same time and take the test?

I am kind of scared of him he has never done anything to me or my son but in the past he would threaten that if he ever saw me it wouldn't be pretty.

The courts order a lot of DNA tests. You can ask your local court about its procedures, but I would venture that they have implemented safeguards against the type of scenario you propose. There is no need for the child to provide a sample at the same time as the putative father, although I don't know the practices of the clinics Texas uses.

If this is a legal DNA test there are things that the testing facility will do to safegaurd the identity of the alleged father. It is also required by the State. They copy two picture forms of ID, They ask for signatures and just before he gives a DNA sample a Polaroid or digital picture is taken of him so that if you request the information you can verify that this is indeed the father.
