My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of : Minnesota
I recently got behind in my car insurance payments due to financial struggles. I got pulled over a week ago for no proof and got a citation later for no insurance. I called the hearing officer and she said not to pay it right away because of issues I could have with license suspension. So we scheduled an appointment on sept with a hearing officer.
I am scared to death about suspended license. I recently changed my auto insurance to a cheaper one I could find so I can afford this new one. But I used my car only mostly for going to work, and there are no bus routes that go to my work since it is in suburb areas. If it gets suspended I will have to live in my car next to my job until the suspension goes away and there could be a chance I could end up losing my job and my wife and I becoming homeless.
I read in minnesota they have a limited license.

But I am praying the hearing officer will be able to do something so I am able to keep my license so I can just be able to go to work. I don't care if they take away me being able to drive anywhere else. All I need to just to drive to work. Can anyone tell me how a sitation goes with a hearing officer? What should I say to her? What should I not do?
This is status I found on no NPI

on mncourts it says:
What can I do if my driver’s license is suspended or revoked and I need to drive to work?
If your license is suspended for non-payment of fines, you must settle the fines to get your license back. If it is suspended or revoked for other reasons, contact the Dept. of Public Safety Driver and Vehicle Services to see if you are eligible for a limited license to drive to work. Please call (651)296-2025 with driver's license questions.
