The tow company that reposessed my truck wants me to pay 75$ to get my birth certificate, social security card, marriage licsense, and wallet with my drivers license, bank cards, and food card. I put all the important papers in the day bofore so i wouldnt forget them for a job interview the next day. I cant afford the money, and i cant get a job. And if i get all new stuff it will take weeks. Shouldn't i be able to legally get things that important?

Was your car towed in Pheonix or elsewhere? If Pheonix, was it towed by a City of Pheonix contract tow company or by a private company? I found a website for the City of Pheonix contract towing which does not list charges for obtaining personal items from your vehicle, however a private company is another matter altogether.
