Default Do I Need to Appear in Court if My Ticket Has Been 'Deleted from the Court System'

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California

I received a minor in possession in early June, and I have been regularly checking online to see if my ticket has been processed so I can just pay the fine, and put it behind me. However, it never got processed, and I've been calling the court almost every day to see if it's processed on their end. The last four times that I've called, the people on the phone have said that it's been deleted from the system. While they said it might get added back it still hasn't yet. The last woman I talked to told me that since it's been gone for quite a few days, it probably won't get entered back, and I don't need to go to my court date. Is this true? I really don't want to get a larger fine or be issued an arrest warrant for a ticket that somehow got deleted from the court system.

If you have a court date, go to it. Look at it this way: If you go, nothing bad will happen. If you don't, something bad might.

Unless officially notified (in writing) that your presence is no longer required, show up in court at the time and date indicated on the citation. When you signed the citation you were released on your signed promise to appear in court.

As Indybail has mentioned, show up in court.
