How to Get Off the Sex Offender Register

My question involves criminal law for the state of: iam haveing alot of trouble with social services all they see is the lable & not the person which has coursed a break up in my relationship with my girlfriend we have a 4 yr old son together (not mine but have bin there since he was 4 mth old) he no's me as dad & my girlfriend classes me as his dad. being on the register has ruined my life how do i get off it. i was convicted over 7 yrs ago for assault on a miner i denied it all the way still do ive done every thing that has bin asked buy the police ive lost work becasue of it now a break up with my girlfriend is the last straw. ive aslo registerd when requierd wont to get on with my life but cant how can i get my life back n get off the register please

You are asked for the state for a reason, laws vary by state. Depending on your state and classification, the ability to get off ranges from close to impossible to impossible.

I looked this up after reading your thread and from what I read, sex offenses are tiered. If you were convicted of a low-tier sex crime, you can petition for removal from the sex offender registry after 10 years. If you were convicted of a mid-tier sex crime, you'll have to wait 25 years before you can petition for removal and if you were convicted of a top-tier sex crime, you'll be on the sex offender registry for life. Since you were convicted only 7 years ago, it sounds to me like you'll have to remain on the registry for at least another 3 years, if you were convicted of a sex crime grouped in the lowest tier.

i am the lads real dad this guy moved in on this girl after she move 200 miles away after i split up she was on here own with a child and this guy move in on her he does not proved for her or child he lives on his own and just pops round when suits him why not take a lie test and prove u are not gilty .
just keep away from my son till you have or i will put a court order on u the girl was easy pray and this guy new it why has he not provied for them as he works and what abot your own kids and wife ?????? lie test ok and tell how u both kept me out of my sons life so he could not get know me

and the court has just told him keep away from my son and not go near the house your history nonce proven covicked and jailed for it on a miner end of now get back in your hole nonce
