My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Oregon
My daughter got an mip when unknown kids from another school showed up with alcohol at a party. She was trying to encourage a friend to leave with her when the police showed up. She was not given any form of sobriety tests she was. Not drinking nor was she in possession of alcohol. Some kids were given tests. Some parents were called some were not. Some kids given mip some not. She happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. She is a good kid honor roll. She woke me up when she got home. Crying and told me what happened. Being she is a minor why was I not called? If there was suspicion of alcohol why was she allowed to drive home? What can I do to help her out ? I don't have $$ for a lawyer :-(.
