Publishing a PDF from Software

Hello,

If I own a specific software (planetarium software which produces maps of the sky). Is it a fair usage to post on my webpage multiple PDF files produced with this software?
The software doesn't use it's own sources of data. They use freely avaliable sources and catalogs to produce the maps. They only provide interface to display the data as a map.

I can't see the documents you propose to post from where I'm sitting, so I can't comment on their content.

If software is simply a tool, the author / owner of the software has no claim on what you produce with the tool. If that were not the case, Microsoft would be claiming copyright on everything created with Word.

Yes, it's fair usage. You own the software you said, right? I wouldn't worry then about associating public images with your software being a legal issue.
