    Default My Ex- Claims I Gave Her Herpes

    My question involves defamation in the state of: Texas

    Is it defamation or slander? She has it. I don't.

    Slander is a form (oral/spoken, as opposed to written) of defamation.

    Did you take a blood test to prove that you don't have it? Many people who have it have never had an outbreak.

    To whom is she making this claim? It makes a difference whether you have a cause of action or not.
