    Default Getting Money Left to Me In Certificates of Deposit

    So my mom has passed away in wy. Her husband is still alive. She left money in the bank for me which there in CDs. He is the only one that has a death certificate. Can he touch them? Do i need to call the bank etc.. plz help

    Meaning what? You're a joint account holder? You're the designated beneficiary? The money is supposed to go to you through her will and after probate?

    This is in what state?

    Bank would not tell you anything,unless your name is on the bank account.
    Is there a will,is your name on the will as beneficiary?
