Default Can a Illegal Immigrant Be Deported for Shoplifting

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Kentucky

My friend and I was in Walmart and she took some items totaling $40. She put one item in her purse n the other in mine. They security caught us and brought us in the back and they called the police. We were both given a fourth date and we were also fined by Walmart. I do not have legal documentation. I do have a legitimate id (not American) and I have a Ssn. What will happen when I go to court? I'm scared. What do I need to do? Will the court call immigration on me and have me deported ? :-(

    Please answer the question:

How do you have a SSN?

    It matters.

I have one because I came here on a work visa. I was legal for a period of time but I overstayed so my visa is expired but my passport is not

You can be jailed while they pursue deportation.

It seems to me as an illegal immigrant you are subject to deportation regardless of any shoplifting charges. As far as Immigration knowing, you prints will always pop up on an arrest thanks to AFIS networks.

You actually need to ask this question? Yes, you absolutely need a lawyer.

Even if you hadn't committed a crime, you're still in danger of deportation. If you're deported, it's harder to get a visa to come back.
