    Default Renewal of Judgement

My question involves judgment recovery in the State of: Missouri.

I have an old judgement that will be 10 years old in 8 months. The last I heard about the matter was that they tried to seize an old bank account 3-4 years ago. I have never contacted them and they haven't contacted me directly but have sent settlement letters yearly to my parents address.

    My questions are:
    1. If they are going to renew the judgement would they wait until the last minute or would they have done it by now?
    2. If they try to renew it do they have to serve me or notify me that they are doing so?

I was actually garnished at first and paid several thousand, which was more than what I originally owed on the card. It is just that the fees and interest made the amount skyrocket to North of 9K.

    1. Yes, one or the other.

    2. They would serve you or, if necessary due to your relocation and use of an address unknown to them, effect service by publication.
