update - YESS!!! Victory is ours ****

I went in to the court this morning and told the casheir my situation. To my astonishment, she said, OK, she pulled my case up on the computer, filled out a couple forms for me to sign (I have no idea what they were), charged me a grand total of $25 and said "you're all set."

unbelievable.

I'd have had to pay the $25 administration fee even if I'd shown my insurance proof to the court within the given time period.

I still can't believe it. so, happy ending.
