Restrictive House Arrest

i am currently on house arrest and im not aloud to leave my house get on the internet talk on the phone go to school or make an dotors appointment let alone go to church. i was told if my house was to catch fire im not aloud to exit unless i call and ask for permission otherwise i go back to detention home. i have not been convicted of any of my charges yet. im currently my "pre trial" process but this has been going on for months now. i was just wondering how cant i talk to my own father and not aloud to do any of these things and i havent been convicted yet? i thought i had some type of rights like i know they can do pretty much what they want to but i didnt know they could do this?!

House arrest is still DOC custody. You couldn't do those things in jail either. You are still under arrest. Hence the term, HOUSE ARREST. Those conditions were explained to you prior to you arriving back to your residence. Apparently you agreed. However, I don't expect you to respond as you've already stated tahat you are not allowed to use the internet. Break house arrest and back to DOC you go.

LOL. Glad I'm not alone in catching that!

But, to OP - the reason the state is "aloud" (the word you are looking for is allowed - it seems like school wasn't doing you much good even before your house arrest...you must have also missed the day they covered punctuation) to impose such restrictions before you have even been convicted is that [U]you agreed to it[B] as a condition of your pre-trial release from custody. The alternative is that the state would have simply held you in jail (or juvenile detention, depending on your age) for those months! Apparently, the state feels that you are a substantial risk to commit further offenses if your activities are not significantly restricted...and a judge, who reviewed the case against you, agreed! Your "rights" are being infringed because there is evidence that A) your actions and behavior have infringed on the rights of others and B) you will continue to do so if not confined.

BTW, no one has forbid you from going to school. You have to call the sheriff's office in order to get permission to move around. They'll give you the ok or deny it. The goal is not to prevent you from bettering yourself. You have to call them to get movement.
