    Default Going 88 in a 35

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Washington.

A few days ago I received a ticket in Clark County. The road changes from a 50 to a 35 and I was supposedly going 88.
The officer wrote me down for going 88 in a 35 but I believe I wasn't going that fast, and also was in the 50 zone rather than the 35.
This is my first ticket, and I'm not going to fight it. I would rather have the ticket defered than have to plead not guilty and go through all that trouble.
The problem is, I don't think I will be able to get it defered because I was going so munch over the limit.
So, what should I do? Should I plead not guilty or try to defer it?

Just wanted to say that a not guilty by reason of insanity might work out well for you! hat's all... Good luck!

Wow...those Clark County cops are lenient! If I had caught you going more than 50 MPH over in a 35 MPH zone, you would have been calling someone for bail money after I booked you for reckless driving and impounded your car! All you got was a NOI for speeding?!?!

Weeeeellll...if you plead not guilty, what exactly do you plan for a defense?....Seriously, this I gotta hear! I would think that a deferment would be out of the question...but, maybe the courts and prosecutors in Clark are as lenient as the cops! My advice would be to pay the freaking ticket and thank your lucky stars that is the only consequence you are facing.

Not everyone has an ego, though...

Not guilty is the only way to go. This could have, as PTPD22 has already pointed out, possible criminal ramifications. If you pay the fine you may have just admitted to reckless driving should the prosecution get wind of this. I recommend speaking with an attorney ASAP.
