Removal of Attorney of Record

My question involves a marriage in the state of: Florida. in pinellas county

How do I remove an attorney of record from a family law case? The attorney of record is actually my wife's father, we can not proceed to a hearing for the final dissolution because he won't make the filing, and refuses to remove himself as attorney of record, this divorce/Child support order has been in limbo for 15 years now. I cannot afford an attorney of my own and just wish for the final hearing. the child support order has been in place for 14 year and is current.

Your wife's father is presumably HER attorney of record. If so, only she can ask him to make the necessary filings or remove him as her attorney.

You are free to hire your own attorney to represent YOU to get the ball rolling.

If you cannot afford an attorney, you will either have to make the necessary legal filings on your own as a pro se, or continue in your current state of limbo. Not much room for any other options...
