I Didn't Sign Any Paperwork for the Trade-In

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Maryland

My husband traded in a vehicle that I was the primary on the financing. They allowed him to bring the new vehicle home, but told him I needed to come and sign the new finance paperwork. I refused. When he went back to the dealership less then 12hrs later they told him they sold it at auction They allowed him to finance the vehicle on his own, but I never signed away my rights to the trade in. The truck that was traded was registered in TX and our bank is not showing any payoff.

Is this legal? I would like to get my truck back if at all possible.

All that matters is the title. If he could sell the vehicle without your consent per the title, and did so, then he sold the vehicle.

Your rights to the trade-in being what? All being "the primary on the financing" does is make you responsible for loan payments. How was the vehicle titled?
