Default Can a Mother on State Aid Falsify Father As Unknown and Later Give Father's Name

My question involves paternity law for the State of: Wisconsin
About 10 months ago my ex-girlfriend sent me and my current girlfriend a text picture of her newborn daughter. She basically stated that the baby was mine and she wanted nothing from me. She then blocked her phone number. I tried going to the police to see if they could find out if there is even a baby that exist or file complaint of unlawfull use of phone. Also the text message contained foul language, etc. Basically the police were no help, I had her phone number but no current address. Then around 3 months later I called the court house and they told me that they couldn't give out information about her listed on a birth certificate. The lady was nice thou and looked up her name to see if there was a paternity test pending involving her. She didn't find a test pending. I'm almost positively sure if she had a baby she would be on state aid. I just can't believe the court house can't give out information if she has a record of even having a baby! The lady told me I would have to file a request for paternity test which cost $600 even if a baby doesn't exist! This whole situation could just be her trying to hurt me and my new relationship or there could be a baby! It's 10 months later and I haven't heard anything from her but I found out she has a facebook. Her facebook is blocked but there is 3 pictures of a baby on there! So basically I don't have $600 to request a paternity test, plus if the baby isn't mine I don't want to give her the satifaction of causing chaos in my new relationship. Can she get in trouble for faulsifying to state aid that she doesn't know who the father is? Can she years later tell state aid she knows who the father is? Can she legally request a paternity test and child support many years later even though she has known who the father is the entire time? I always thought when recieving state aid you have to list everyone you have had sex with during time of conception? I'm not trying to get out of being a father or supporting a child. I'm trying to stay clear of her because she will do anything to keep me from seeing my child or do anything to hurt me. This women is evil, unstable, immature and not civil. I can't afford a lawyer!

Borrow $600. and find out. It will be worth it to not have to think, wonder and worry about it for the next 50 years. Trust me. Just do it.

The court cannot give out details like that and nor should they.

And really, if your relationship can't handle the idea of you having had a child prior to the relationship itself, you really don't HAVE a relationship.

Yes, she can initially state she doesn't know who the father is and have an epiphany years later. Proving fraud is incredibly difficult, so you might as well let that one go.

File to establish paternity. If there is no child, chances are not bad that she'll have to pay for the test.
