Default Rights of parents - Oklahoma
My daughter is 17 and won't turn 18 until next May. She has already finished high school by getting her GED. My wife and I are trying to help her out by sending her to beauty school. We have an arrangement with her that if she goes to school she will get $10 a day spending money. She's decided she's bored and is dropping out. I won't give my daughter any money on the days she doesn't go to school. All my daughter wants to do is run around with her other dropout friends all day and party all night.
My wife and I have noticed that the days we don't give her money that things around the house are missing; i.e. loose change, dvds, etc. I'm assuming that she using them to trade and use for money.
We're at our wits end!! We're praying for the day our daughter turns 18 but was wondering what our rights as parents are. Are we "stuck" supporting our daughter when she won't cooperate with us on anything? I'm scared that everything in our house will be stolen. She refuses to get a job because it will cut into her "party" time. Since she's finished high school can we kick her out of our house? I'm seriously considering sending her to a boarding school for 8 months. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

I would suggest consulting your County's Department of Social Services to see if they have any programs available which may help you.
