    Default Left for a Different Reason Than My Employer Claims

    My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Wisconsin

    I worked at burger king. There was a manager there who would not ring up orders sometimes and would tell me to cook them anyways. One day I got upset and told her I was going to tell on her. Then we got into a verbal argument. She told me to leave. Then she fired me and said her reason was I came into work high on drugs. Not true. So I dont know how this shows up to potential employers or if there is a way to dispute the reason for which I was fired.

    Dispute with who?

    If you are talking about unemployment, you tell your story. She tells hers. The UI office decides which story they like best.

    If you are talking about potential employers, until we know what they say we don't know how to tell you to dispute it. It's quite possible with a huge company like that, no one will talk to her directly anyway.

    In the future, don't do that. If someone is violating company policy, you don't pick fight with them by threatening to "tell on them", you go directly to their boss.
