    Default How to Change a Traffic Mitigation Plea

    My question involves traffic court in the State of: washington

    HOW TO file a motion with the court to have the case re-opened and re-heard. TRAFFIC MITIGATION HEARING"! I CANT HAVE MOVING VIOLATION NEED TO REOPEN MITIGATION HEARING speed TICKET AND GET FRONT JUDGE i HAVE LETTER AUTO MECHANIC SHOP SHOW SPEEDOMETER was reading wrong example speedometer read 50 but was actually going 56 was under impression that had 3 moving violations allowed in 12 mo period so pleaded guilty to save myself and the courts time on these matters if knew the true consequences would have mitigated my circumstances differently and need to reopen my case and ask judge to consider these facts in my case and see if could get dismissed or maybe change my charge to non move vviolation instead move violation in order to not lose my license and cause hardship in my life with school and work is there any way i can got speed ticket lowered and pmt plan set up been over 30 days since my mitigation hearing could anyone tell me my next course of action to resolve this matter and hopefully keep my license as end result here

    Local court rules and practices can be important in matters like this - did you contact the traffic court clerk and ask their procedure? They may say that you can send a letter, they may say you need to file a motion, they may decline to inform you and tell you to consult a local lawyer....

    What county are we talking about?

    You've plead guilty and the judge accepted your plea. I am not sure you understand what a mitigation is. A mitigation hearing will NOT change your guilty plea, because in a mitigation hearing, you are pleading guilty with an explanation. You will still have said conviction. A mitigation will buy you nothing. The prosecutor holds all the cards here. They don't have to do squat.
