My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Arizona
We were discharged in March 2012 (Chapter 7) and our ATV loan servicing was transferred from the original creditor (HSBC) to a legal firm. The legal firm will not provide us with any info regarding the status of our account but my on-time monthly payments do show up on my bank statement. The contact person at the legal firm tells me that I should keep my own records as they will not provide us with any account information. We would like to pay this debt in full but can't get a pay=off figure. Should we request the assistance of the Bankruptcy Trustee or is paying an attorney our only recourse? We'd really like to be done with this. We did not sign a reaffirmation agreement because the proposed payment was $500 and our original payment was $130. The attorney who handled our bankruptcy advised us that he would assist us with the reaffirmation agreement for an additional $250 but we did not have any more money after paying them $1800 to handle the bankruptcy. Thanks in advance for your help.
