Default Sex Offender Registration Obligations when Moving to Another State

My question involves criminal law for the states of: Illinois and Texas and/or New Mexico, and/or Colorado

I have to register in IL for 10 years, (one of the few who do not have Lifetime registration).
What is my legal obligation if I move to Texas?
Will they make me register for Life?

I have a good job opportunity in northern TX. How do I find out the Registration requirements of Texas (the other State)? Or even New Mexico, or Colorado, as they are close enough to drive from.
I am fully compliant, and not on parole of probation. I just don't want to have to register for my entire life. It makes employment harder as well as finding/buying a house.
The crime occurred in 1999, involved a minor, but I am a listed as a Sexual Predator, Sexually Violent, or as Sexually Dangerous.
    Thank you.

You have to obey the laws of the state from which you're moving, and you also need to follow the laws of the state to which you move. If you are living in one state and working in another, you will have to investigate to see if the state in which you're working has a registration requirement or any other restrictions on sex offenders that may apply to your employment or the location of your job; each state has different laws.
