Who Can Do Service of Notice

My question involves a marriage in the state of:CA

After I submit my motion forms to the court staff. She want me to do "service of notice" to my ex. I am pretty alone here and do not want to disclose my divorce and custody issues to my friend and workmates. Whom can I seek for to this?
