How to Take Care of an Arrest Warrant

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Arizona

my husband and were in an accident and when police arrived on scene he took my purse from the car (I was injuried) and was being examined by EMT after he got all my information from my purse the officer told my husband that there was a warrant out for my arrest. But he said he wasn't going to take me in cause I was leaving by ambulance and it was minor, he told my husband "just take care of it" so how do I take care of it? I don't want to be arrested I have a small child I need to take care of. He said what the warrant was for but it doesn't make any sense to me. He said it was for check fraud, but I haven't had a bank account / checking account for years, and I've been pulled over since then for speeding and that officer never mentioned it to me.

Your best course of action is to hire an attorney, have him/her check into it for you, and negotiate the terms of your surrender on your behalf, where "terms of surrender" will likely mean "show up at the courthouse with a checkbook and pen".
