    Default Does Father of Baby Have to Sign Birth Certificate

    My question involves adoption law for the State of: Utah

    Does the father of the baby have to sign the birth certificate if he has already said he wants nothing to do with the baby for my fiancee to adopt the baby as his own?

    No, he doesn't have to sign.

    But your fiance cannot adopt, nor can he sign the birth certificate himself.
