What does "the contract shall terminate 30 days after resignation has been given" mean?

For example, if I quit this job on June 6, I think my last day is July 5, because 30 days after is July 6 so the contract is terminated and I don't work.
But other people claim the 30th day is inclusive and must be worked.
Which is correct?

You didn't answer the question about what state you're in, but really... if you want to quit, you can quit. We don't have indentured service in the U.S., so leaving your employer in a lurch doesn't do much more than get you a bad reference.

Beyond that, read your contract. We cannot interpret a contract if we cannot see its language.
