Default Can You Post Information About a Lawsuit Online

My question involves defamation in the state of: Florida

Long story short, I started a business with someone and they turned out to take off with all of the equipment and money (which was provided by my parents) and he is continuing to run business as usual at another location. Can I inform the community using facebook/online forums etc that he does business with (automotive performance) that he defaulted on the judgement against him and what he did? He now owes my family a large sum of money and I want people to know he is a dishonest liar.

Default Re: Is It Ok to Post Information About a Lawsuit That You Have Against Someone Online

You have, of course, reported the theft to police, correct?

Before you go publishing anything that implicates someone in criminal activity (which is what an unlawful taking is), when they haven't been convicted of such, you'd best speak to an attorney in your state before your thurst for revenge makes you do something that could put even MORE of your money in his pocket.
