Default Tenant Rights When Operations are Affected by Construction

My question involves an easement in the state of: ILLINOIS

Illinois Dept of Transportation is starting a 5-year construction project. The retail plaza I am in will lose all its parking space, as a result, it will be unusable. The property owners did receive compensation for the land (parking lot) from IDOT and have settled. My question is what are my rights as a tenant? Can I file a claim for loss of income and so on?

    Thanks!
    Tom K.

    Default Re: Tenant Rights

Take your lease contract to an attorney in your area who specializes in commercial property to see what your potential remedies - if any - may be.
