My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas
So I just got a ticket for riding my bike on the sidewalk on Texas Tech's campus. Officer said it's prohibited by state law but I can't find that in Sec. 551 Transportation Code. (http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.u...htm/TN.551.htm) If I go before the judge (JP Stratton) can I file a motion to have the charges dropped before entering a not-guilty plea? If it's denied I'll probably just plead guilty to avoid a trial (I'd have to go pro-se and I'm not even in law school until September).
Thanks!

Additional information: (http://techannounce.ttu.edu/Client/V...x?MsgId=102474) <- Section H of this link says "No person shall operate a bicycle or any other vehicle upon a sidewalk or sidewalk area..." and claims that it's taken from Sec. 551 Texas Transportation Code. I can't find this in the code, nor can I find this codified anywhere except for this particular link.
