Yes, but he is facing 7 years in prison. Depending on the seriousness of the situation and the age of the person involved, yes, I'd think about fleeing the country if I were in a similar scenarios. It doesn't solve the problem and it'd certainly be tough, but prison isn't fun either.

I am not fleeing my situation.
I am trying to get this over with and put it behind me.
I have a lawyer. He is telling me i might spend 4-9 months in county with 2 years probation.
I am gonna take a substance abuse assessment to try and look good in front of a judge.
I have many older people including employers that are willing to take the stand for me to vouch that i am a good person.
I realized i made a mistake and im hoping to get on with my life and put this all behind me.
