Hello, i am just gonna lay it on all of you. I sell drugs. Nothing hard. Just weed and entheogenic substances.

On Friday i got a call from a narcotics officer telling me he has a controlled buy on me and wants me to become a narc.
I told him i do not sell/do drugs and where i should turn myself in at. He then told me there was not currently a warrant for my arrest.
My question is, if he had me for controlled buy, why wouldn't he kick in my door and arrest me before offering a deal?
To me, it sounds like the officer is feeding me bullshit to try and get me to bite the bait. Am i right?

Either way, im getting a free consultation from a lawyer tomorrow. What might this consultation accomplish? Ive never been in trouble before and im trying to handle this the best i can.

I think the OP is trying to distinguish between addictive/physically harmful chemicals versus mentally harmful chemicals. I'm pretty libertarian leaning on personal possession laws, but dealing drugs is always a bad idea and it has got you into a world of hurt. It's up to the courts now what will ultimately happen--lawyer up now and hope for the best. You probably should have fled the country while you had the chance. Also: QUIT DEALING DRUGS!

I know what he meant. I just don't agree. If the drugs are illegal, then they are illegal. The statutes of each state do take the various drugs into consideration when addressing them.

and gone where? When you flee, you have to figure out how to live wherever you go. Food and shelter is a nice thing to have. Obtaining work so as to continue to by food and shelter is a necessity unless you bring enough cash with you to live the rest of your life.


and if you think illegal immigrants have a tough time in the US, you really ought to see how they are treated in other countries.
