My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Oregon
Hello! My girlfriend at the time of 3 1/2 years had $4000 on her credit card that was charging close to 20% interest. We made an agreement that she could move that money onto my credit card that would charge 7% interest. We moved the money electronically (for proof of record), and her monthly payments were made seperate of rent and other utilities she was paying for.
After we broke up, she refuses to pay anymore of her debt, which is close to $3000. I was told by a friend that since all our records were documented, and there is a clear payment path, that even though I do not have a written contract or note with her, that there is enough proof to show that she owes the money and was paying it back until we broke up 4 months ago.
Any advice or suggstions??
