Removing Items Left for 6 Months on My Property After Numerous Pickup Notifications

My question involves personal property located in the State of: Texas
An employee left a hog trap at my pond and several bee boxes in my barn over 6 months ago when he left my employment. I do not want to be alone when he comes to pick up the items and have told him such. He has been given several dates to come pick up the items and never showed up. He did however show up twice without calling and I made him leave my property. Once he actually opened my screen door as though he were coming into the house. I asked who it was and then asked him to leave the property and reminded him he was to call and make arrangements to pick the items up when someone could be with me. He filed a report with the Sheriff's office that I was selling the bee boxes and a deputy came tio my house to investigate. He left after talking with me. Later I found out he could have arrested me, a 70 year old woman, on the spot if he wished. This upset me greatly. I called him and told him to come pick the items up at 7:00pm on Monday evening or I would place the items at my curb. He Hung up on me and would not answer any of my calls. I and 3 neighbors called him several times without his answering and we left messages that the items would be left at the curb if he did pick them up on the Monday at 7:00. He did not show. So, I called a deputy at the sheriff's office and explained the situation to him and he did not see anything wrong with removing the items to the curb. Tuesday they were taken to the curb with a note on them that they were not trash. This is Friday and they are still there. Today, a different deputy called me and told me I could not place the items at the curb and that I could get into a lot of trouble if anything happened to them. What are my rights in this situation? I have bent over backwards arranging pickup times that were ignored. Can I place the items off of my property?

was he employed at your home (I'm guessing it is a farm or ranch(?

why did he have he bee boxes and any other personal property there?
