How to Protect a New Idea

It's my first day on this forum because I was checking on internet for free advice.
My questions are the following...

If I got a idea and I want start it with Youtube/Facebook, what I should do on first place?
I should register my idea for the case to be very productive nobody steal it?

I'm sorry about my ignorance in regards to this situation,
if you can help me in some way I am very grateful!

You can't copyright ideas.

I am skeptical that this "idea" would be something you could patent, but I have none of the relevant details, but that would be the most obvious possibility. (Not cheap or easy, and perhaps not possible, but....)

Well, I'm afraid you are right and it's exactly what I was think about, but, the Idea it will be a weekly video to gain popularity and perhaps on future (if productive) a full website.
Anyway I should go ahead and see what it will be!
