My question involves criminal records for the state of:Washington
Back in June 2007, I plead guilty to Theft, 3rd Degree (gross misdemeanor). In August 2007, I received a 12 months deferred sentence. I complied with all conditions of the sentence. I recently went to the courthouse to get a copy of the docket. I noticed the case was reviewed by a judge in August 2008 and the case was dismissed.
I have spoken with attorneys who have given me conflicting answers on this: Do I still have a criminal conviction (criminal record)?
Also, should I go ahead and file a motion to vacate the conviction, anyway? I know I qualify for the vacation. I just don't want to do it if it is not necessary.
Thank you!
