Default Enforcing Loan Repayment Agreements After You Break Up

My question involves a relationship in the state of: Ohio. So me ad my boyfriend have been fighting alot recently and and he has verbally agreed to pay me back with things I had put on my credit cards for him i only did because he said he would pay me back .. I'm worried he wolnt pay me back the 1300$ he owes me if we break up ... Can I sue him if we breakup ad he don't want to pay me back no more? Also right now my stuffs at his mothers house, could he stop me from getting my stuff if we breakup my stuffs been there for longer then 3mos but we have been dating we just moved to grandparents 2mos ago but most of my stuffs still there. Could he say it's his stuff now if we just break up??

If he owes you money, you can sue him. If he says "I don't owe her money", you will have to prove by a preponderance of the evidence both that he does and how much he owes. If you lay claim to "stuff" that he says is his and you sue him, you will have to prove by a preponderance of the evidence that the stuff is yours and how much it is worth.

If your stuff is at his mother's house, it's in her control, not your ex's. What did his mother say when you asked if you could pick up your stuff?

Well I don't have like a paper he sined but I got text saying he agrees to pay back the amount owed and a list of what it is I might still have some receipts but if not can I go off my statements? And we havnt broken up I just was looking into it because we have been fighting alot and I wanna have things together if it does end... Theirfore his mom hasn't said anything yet... Is there anything else I need to be prepared for if our relationship does infact end??
