ask him to sign off as my lawyer. Because I am not satisfied with his performance and the case is finished. The following custody issue I want to represent by myself.

If the case is over, the case is over - pay his bill and he's done.

If you want him to document to opposing counsel that he doesn't work for you for post-judgment matters, you can ask him to send a letter to opposing counsel indicating that he no longer works for you and that you will be representing yourself. He can charge you for writing the letter.

no, I just need him to sign off as my lawyer. Because I am going to the court to schedule the next court date by myself. He can not work for me without my consent. The custody issue will last long before the court offer me joint custody and I believe I can handle by myself.

You just told us that the case was finished. You waste our time if you post incorrect facts, and change the story as you go along.

As the litigation is continuing, you can ask him to file a motion to withdraw.

I think what he's saying is that he was unsatisfied with the representation he received during the divorce, which is closed, and now wants to go Pro Se on the custody fight.

OP, you should consider finding a new lawyer for the custody case. They can be long, complex and dirty.

Yeah, the final trial was finished and the only issue is continue on the custody issues.

Is this mc-050 form the right one I need to send to my lawyer?
