Default Chapter 7 and Deposition Hearing

My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: FL
What happens if I use my left over savings to pay past due property taxes before my deposition hearing in which the Federal trustee wants to take all of my personal savings that I thought were safe because of the exemption law ($3,000)?

If you dispose of property of the estate without the Trustee's blessing he will either be nice about it and work out a payment plan where you pay the $$ back or he will seek to deny/revoke your discharge. Probably not worth the risk over a piddly $3k, assuming you owe substantially more than that to your creditors. If you cannot exempt the $$ and the Trustee wants it. . . give it to him.
