Custodial Parent is Moving to Germany

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Connecticut

I will be getting married soon. My new husband will be taking a job in Germany, he currently lives in Switzerland and will be moving. My 8 yr old and I live in Ct. I have sole physical and legal custody. My ex has had very limited vistation since the divorce, 4 yrs ago.

The original order was every other Sunday from 1-6 and wed from 5 to 7. He has had his visitstion suspended. The 1st time due to a domestic violence with a current girlfriend. After that he was awarded 4 hrs a week do supervised visitation. My 8yr old went to a about 4 visits when he Dad decided to start yelling and not making the visits enjoyable. My son did not want to go since he was scared to see him. The agency supervising will not force a child to visit. We went back to court for a follow up on visitation.

When we went back to court he didn't show up. The agency recommended the visits be suspended. The visits have been suspended until further notice of the court.

My question is what do I need to do to move. There is no relocation clause in orders. It only says I need to notify of my address.

Petition the court for permission to move. I expect it will be granted.

If you want somebody to give you permission to move without clearing it through the court, take the orders and other relevant documentation to a lawyer in your state and have them reviewed.
