Default Court Procedure for Speeding Ticket in Los Angeles Superior Court

My question involves traffic court in the State of: California, Los Angeles.
I have an arraingment date in August for speeding. 60 in a 35 (22350)
Alright so I personally do not plan on waiting til August to pay for my ticket so I am going to simpliy pay and say I am guilty.
My question is I plan on going probably tomorrow to take care of this matter. Will I be most likely seeing a judge or a county clerk?? I am just wondering so I know how to dress appropriately. Also what is the possiblitly of be able to attend traffic school. I am also 18 and this is my first ticket

If you walk into a court to pay a fine, you can expect to be talking to a clerk.

    What's your history of violations?

There is a possibility, because if the speed differential (60 in a 35 = 25mph) that you might have a mandatory court appearance. And if that is the case, you can certainly pay the fine but that will not close the case out. You would still have to appear before the judge.

The courtesy notice will clearly mention this, if it is indeed a requirement.
I am right 97% of the time... Who cares about the other 4%!
