Red face My Ex Didn't Pay My Son's Doctor Bill

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Washington

Collections is now trying to collect it from me. Although I never made the appointment or knew anything about it. We were never married. I'm required to carry insurance for him, which he does & did have at the time. What law allows them to collect & record this on my credit? If they have to remove it, what law says that? Please help. I've spent a long time cleaning up my credit & I'm very tired I've being manipulated & having my life destroyed by this person.

What exactly do your court orders say about your responsibility regarding his health-care?

    the problem is:

what your court order states does not apply to parties outside of that agreement. They are not parties to your court order so it cannot control their rights in any way. As a parent, you have a liability to pay for necessary treatment of your child.

So, pay the bill and if the court order requires ex to have paid for this, sue him.
I am not an attorney and any advice is not to be construed as legal advice. You might even want to ignore my advice. Actually, there are plenty of real attorneys that you might want to ignore as well.

The order says I'm required to pay 50% of all medical. I pay the complete amount of the health insurance. She pulls stuff like this on me all the time. In sports she says she can't afford it, although I'm giving her child support. That way I pay for it, otherwise my kids miss out in sports. Samething with their equipment or clothes.
