If You Overpay Your Fines, Can the Court Report Your Ticket

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Texas


I was doing some reasearch on the internet and found this on a website.

Overpay the actual violation amount. The state will issue you a refund check for the difference. Do not cash the check, keep it. Because you have not cashed the check, the court case/docket cannot be closed properly thus no information gets reported to your insurance company or department of motor vehicles.

I seriously doubt that worked even in 1983. Someone, somewhere may have gotten away with it in 1963. OK, maybe 1943.

Paying, or overpaying, or for that matter, not paying, is not relevant in any way to the case is or is not reported and/or documented. Once the case is adjudicated is hits the record books.

You read it on the internet? You prolly believe those "enlargement" ads too.
