My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: NJ
I am trying to get my license back which has been suspended since 12/91. I have been sifting through and paying the old fines and tickets...most of which were cause by an ex who had 3 vehicles in my name (never again!!).
I have two outstanding tickets which were unfamiliar to me because of the city they were issued in. One was for "failure to make proper turn", the other "driving while suspended. They were issued on 5/4/95.
I called the court...the vehicle is unfamiliar to me and not mine... I did have a car at the time. I had no reason to be in that town either.
What are the chances of dismissal?? At that time, I WAS driving ... but even I didn't have an actual copy of my suspended license in my possession...
I think someone used my name..
Can anyone offer some advice?? Court date is next week 6/12/12
Thank you
