Default How Do I Find Out if I Have Been Added to a Birth Certificate

My question involves paternity law for the State of: MI

I am the possible father of a recently born child. I have little communication with the mother. She has claimed to have had an abortion two separate times. I believed the second one but am now under the assunption she has gone through the pregnancy and is going to keep it with another woman due to things i have seen.
How can i find out if i was added to a birth certificate in MI as a father? If she continues to avoid me there must be some way for me to find that out. Unfortunately, Im not even sure which county the birth took place in or if it has even taken place yet. She was due on 6-14 but i have suspicions it has already happened.

    thanks for any help.

if you did not sign an affidavit of parentage, your name is not (or at least could not legally) be on the birth certificate.

Not sure but it may be too late to register here but I would at least contact them and ask:

    Michigan Putative Father Registry
    Vital Records, Health Statistics
3423 N. Martin Luther King Boulevard
    Lansing, MI 48906
    (517) 335-9334 FAX (517) 335-9264
that is where you register the yourself and make a claim to paternity of the child.

here is the law behind the reason to register:

I am not an attorney and any advice is not to be construed as legal advice. You might even want to ignore my advice. Actually, there are plenty of real attorneys that you might want to ignore as well.

I was concerned because i think I saw somewhere that MI allows the mother to put the father name on the birth certificate.
There should be some way that fathers become notified if that is the case but I'm not sure there is.
    Thanks for the info though.
