Default Probate and Adminstrators Financial Responsibilities

My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: Ohio
My father passed away with no will and my siblings and I are trying to figure out the probate procedures on our own. We are all adults and only 1 resides in Ohio, which in our understanding, is a requirement in Ohio to be adminstrator of an estate. My father owned 2 homes and had 2 vehicles in his name, one used for collateral in the purchase of the second home he rented to one of my siblings. I am wondering what the legal & financial responsibilities are going to be for my sibling once he is named administrator of our father's estate? He is also having trouble understanding much of the paperwork to be filed to start the probate procedure and doesn't know where to go for free advice/help so any info I could pass on would be very much appreciated!

The administrator has duties to the estate. If the administrator receives a fee or claims reimbursement for expenses, that money comes from the estate, not from you.
