Marijuana Possession and Alcohol Possesion

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: New York

Hello, I am a 17 yr. old male and two nights ago I was stopped by a cop while drinking a beer in a public place. I was heavily intoxicated at the time and obviously wasn't making wise decisions. The officer searched my bag and found another beer and a portable marijuana vaporizer with a few empty bags, with probable residue. I was taken back to the office and put in a cell for about thirty mins and they went though my cell phone at this time, finding incriminating pictures. When I was released, they gave me three tickets; possesion of marijuana, possesion of alcohol by a minor, and having an open container of alcohol. I plan to get a good lawyer, but what are the charges/consequences I should expect?

You already know what the charges are by the tickets you were given. Look up the statues you were charged with and take a look at the maximum penalties. You'll end up something less (hopefully far less) than the maximum. A good lawyer should be able to keep your punishment to a minimum. Consider whatever your penalty is as a warning and don't break the law again. Judges don't look favorably to people who repeatably break the law.
