Default How to Access Police Records

My question involves civil rights in the State of: New Jersey

    Hi,

I had filed a complaint against the New Jersey State Police after being pulled over and having certain rights violated. Is there any way I can contact them to find out the results of their investigation? I received a standard letter indicating that they appreciate my feedback, but that was it.

    Thank you.

Sure. You can contact them by phone, mail, or in person and request anything you want. Not saying they are going to give it to you, but you can request away! Joking aside, they are unlikely to give you any information about an ongoing investigation...especially an internal personnel investigation. Even after the investigation is completed, workplace privacy laws, union contractual agreements, and department policies will likely prevent you from ever being told even the results of the investigation let alone what, if any, action was taken.
